How to create Press Ready PDFs for Still Creek Press using QuarkXPress (Mac or PC):

1. Select File > Export and choose Layout as PDF…

2. Select Options tab

3. Set all the Compression settings to: None

4. Set all Resolution to: Keep resolution

5. Uncheck Compress Text and Line Art

6. Under Color > Color Mode, select Composite

7. Under Color > Output Print Colors/Setup, select DeviceN or Composite CMYK and Spot

8. Select Fonts > Embed All Fonts

9. Select Registration Marks to: Centered and Offset to 9pt

10. Set Bleed to Symmetric and amount to .5″

11. Select the OPI tab and deselect all check boxes

12. Select OK and then name and save your PDF file

13. Review the PDF in Acrobat 7.0 Professional or later.
