Our Studio Crafted Signage shop would like to welcome its newest member of the large format print team, Greg Chong. Greg has experience in many areas of large format print including vinyl and mesh posters, retractable banners, sandwich boards and other similar rigid media like Sintra, Foamcore and Coroplast.
Although Greg hails from Toronto, he graduated from UBC with a degree in Human Kinetics and four successful years as a pitcher for the T-Birds baseball team.
We were able to catch up briefly with him while hard at work on one of the flatbed hybrid printers in the shop:
“Wide format printing is interesting for me because it’s seen by so many and useful for all kinds of events, tradeshows and indoor and outdoor marketing collateral. As a recent attendee at the 2012 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo in Las Vegas, I was blown away by the number of exhibitors and skilled craftsmen sharing their knowledge and passion for wide format printing. It was great seeing all the cutting-edge technology available – which ultimately translates into more ways of helping customers achieve the best possible output of their large format printing projects.”
